Community Partner Workshops
We know how important our Community Partners are to the flourishing of our community, campus, and MSU students. As such, a big part of our CSLCE mission is to support our Community Partners in their efforts to connect and work with MSU student volunteers.
To this end, we are offering a new support program called the CSLCE Community Partner Workshop Series. The goal of this once-a-semester Workshop Series is to provide our Community Partners with an opportunity to…
- Connect with the CSLCE staff and MSU student leaders
- Network with other community partners and nonprofit organizations based in Greater Lansing
- Learn more about the mission of CSLCE and the resources we offer to our Community Partners
- Engage in timely and helpful workshop sessions with CSLCE staff & other partners
Spring 2017 Community Partner Workshop
Our next workshop is on Friday, February 3rd from 8:30am-12:00pm. If you would like to sign up, please register here. More details about this event are listed below.
"STUDENT PANEL: Everything You Ever Wanted to Ask a College Student". In lieu of a keynote speaker, we are hosting a student panel comprised of 7 student leaders from Alternative Spartan Breaks, MSU Midtown Scholarship Program, Spartans Rebuilding Michigan, Design for America, and more! Please bring all of the questions you've ever wanted to ask a college student and join in on this group discussion.
Partners can also attend two of the following (50 min) workshop sessions:
SESSION 1 - Meeting Millenials: Tools for Understanding and Engaging with Today's College Students. Join us to learn more about engaging students while they serve with your organization! We will share recent research and pratical ideas about how to support, motivate, and supervise your student volunteers.
SESSION 2 - New Partner Orientation. Whether you are a new partner, or just want to be updated on all the ways that you can connect with MSU students, this workshop will cover all the basics (and much more).
SESSION 3 - Optimizing Your GiveGab Profile. GiveGab is MSU's official volunteer matching system. In this workshop we will demonstrate how to optimize your account and volunteer opportunities to help you connect with the most (and best) student volunteers as possible.
*As always, we recommend signing up early, as space is limited to around 70 people per Workshop.
